Fact-Checking Policy

Last updated: February 19, 2026

Our approach

Every CloverBear guide is checked for factual accuracy before publication, with particular attention to claims that could affect a reader's plants, pets, or household safety — toxicity information, watering guidance that could lead to plant loss, and similar higher-stakes claims receive extra scrutiny.

What we check

What we don't do

We don't fabricate research, testing results, or expert quotes. Where we haven't personally tested a claim (for example, a specific product's performance), we avoid phrasing that implies we have.

Corrections

If a fact-check reveals an error after publication, we correct it and note the update. See our Corrections Policy for the full process, or use our Contact page to report a suspected error.
